Dr Lopez-Beltran was also discussing in detail how precision medicine and liquid biopsy testing can guide towards the most beneficial treatment for each patient. These individualized treatment alternatives could be based on chemotherapy, targeted therapy or immunotherapy regimens.
Dr Lopez-Beltran shared data from a retrospective analysis of around 50 metastatic prostate cancer samples analysed through comprehensive molecular profiling (OncoDNA SA). A case study on how precision medicine can be successfully implemented in clinical practice will be presented as well.

Dr Antonio Lopez-Beltran is full professor of Anatomic Pathology at Córdoba University Medical School and Director of Anatomic Pathology at the Champalimaud Clinical Center. He is also Chairman of the European Working Group on Urologic Pathology and a member of the World Health Organization Expert Panel on Urologic tumors.
